Searching for security? PDF Print E-mail

Have you ever felt a necessity of finding a real meaning to life? Is it true we produce conflict when we are in fear, and give peace when we are feeling love inside ourselves?

Can we become a peaceful world by understanding fear, and its relationship with love?

Is it a fact that we tend to look for security, but we tend to search that sensation in physical aspects?

For example:

We want to have money because that makes us feel secure. However, we can always lose it. There is no guarantee we will have what we have today. We may feel secure with a safe deposit bank or an insurance. Is that what really will make us be at ease?

Perhaps, at first we may feel that way, but security is not a matter of what we can obtain or lose physically. We can always die, and all the pretended physical security will evaporate leaving us with ourselves.

There is something that can give us tranquility, we can call it peace of mind or peace of the soul. That kind of security depends on us, and not on others. We can be living a disaster, but the understanding of ourselves will let us be at ease.

Does a small child feel insecure? Why?

Is he afraid? What is he afraid of?

Can we give a small child security? Is the security felt by the small child really true when we give and express love to them? When is a small child really happy? Is it when they give and receive love?

When are we truly happy? Is it when we give and receive love?

Are we afraid? What are our fears? Why are we afraid of what surrounds us? What is the relationship between us and what is around us?

There is fear when we want to protect our lives, it is instinctive. But, the kind of fear I want to dilute is about the fear of losing what we think we have or the fear of being mistreated, the kind of fear produced psychologically, etc.

Have we ever spent time observing our surroundings? Is there really a reason to be afraid or is fear actually on our minds?

Is fear in union with love? If we are loving and being loved, can we feel fear?

Fear is present when we search for love. Love is in ourselves. There is no reason to fear when we find ourselves, our love.
